Policies and Procedures

The Standing Orders cover procedures for Council meetings and regulations regarding the Council’s business. The Financial Regulations set out the working arrangements by which the Town Council’s financial transactions are regulated. The Town Council’s policies define what the Council does and how they do it. Clear policies and procedures support effective decision making and delegation because they provide guidelines on what councillors can and cannot do, what decisions they can make and what activities are appropriate.
