The Guildhall Viability Study – Public Consultation |
Much Wenlock Town Council has submitted successful applications to the Architectural Heritage Fund and to The National Lottery Heritage Fund, to complete a Viability Study for the Guildhall. The reason for this is that not only does the Guildhall need significant repairs but also because we want this beautiful building to be able to be used more widely in our community. We need your help to achieve this.
The Guildhall is a Grade II* listed building. It has served the Much Wenlock community for over 500 years, as a courtroom, jail, market place and council chamber. The viability study will help us find new ways to make this building more accessible and open to the public on a more regular basis. We are open to any ideas from our community and want to engage as many people as possible with this process so we can gain a real sense of what everyone wants. Therefore, thank you very much for your input into this survey.
