It is with great sadness that Much Wenlock Town Council learnt of the death of HRH, The Duke of Edinburgh. We offer our greatest sympathy to The Queen and the Royal Family.
Books of Condolence
In accordance with the wishes of the Royal Family and public health advice, there will be no physical books of condolence. Members of the public are invited to contribute to the national online book of condolence on the Royal website: https://www.royal.uk/
Floral Tributes
Floral tributes are discouraged. Should members of the public wish to pay tribute to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, a donation could be made to one of His Royal Highness’ charities. A list of patronages and details of how to donate can be found on the Royal website: https://www.royal.uk/
Funeral
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Funeral will take place on Saturday, 17th April at 3pm in St George’s Chapel, Windsor. The Funeral Service will begin with a national minute’s silence at three o’clock. It will be a Ceremonial Royal Funeral and the plans are in line with The Duke of Edinburgh’s own personal wishes.
