Custodian for the Guildhall
Seasonal, Part-Time
Much Wenlock Town Council has a vacancy for a Custodian to work on a seasonal basis at the Guildhall. We are seeking somebody with good customer service skills who is enthusiastic about the history of Much Wenlock. The Custodian will welcome visitors to the Guildhall and provide information about the building and the town.
The Custodian supervises two Assistant Custodians and reports to the Town Clerk. The role includes taking payments for purchases and maintaining accurate records, both manually and digitally. The Custodian ensures the exhibits and publicity materials in the Guildhall are kept in good order and organises regular exhibitions. The role involves lone working and the Custodian will be responsible for opening and locking up the building when on duty.
The Guildhall is open Friday to Monday, from the beginning of April until the end of October. Custodians cover the opening hours on a rota basis. The current rate of pay is £9.58 per hour.
